Dermaplane
Dermaplaning is an extremely safe treatment when performed by a professional. We use a sharp blade angled along the skin that’s been prepped with a luxury balm. It immediately rejuvenates the skin by removing the outmost layer of dead skin cells and vellous hair (the visible peach fuzz) on the face. It leaves skin smooth and vibrant.
It makes a significant difference to the penetration of active ingredients in your skin care products as we remove any potential blockage.
There is no down time and your skin will instantly feel free. Makeup application will become easier and serums will absorb and penetrate the skin better. It is also great to prep for an occasion or general skin maintenance. It works extremely well with other treatments, especially prior to chemical peels, microneedling or skin boosters.
It does not make the vellous hair grow back thicker.
It grows back slowly as the same, fine, soft vellous hair in about 4 weeks.
The treatment can be performed every 3-4 weeks.
This treatment is completely pain free and non-invasive.
Dermaplane can be done at home but it carries risks of infection and not achieveing full results. Here at House Of Aesthetics we use a professional blade that can’t be purchased for home use and skin is prepped safely.
Chemical Peels
A chemical peel is a professional solution applied to the skins surface to remove dead skin cells and stimulate the growth of new cells. The easiest way to explain this treatment is like a facial, cleansing and prepping the skin first, followed by serums and face masks.
Peels are designed to exfoliate your skin and encourage it to renew itself by creating fresh new skin cells. They also stimulate the skin’s natural collagen production to help reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles.
